Golfing in Charlotte
One of Charlotte's favorite pastimes is GOLFING! Young and old alike, men, women and children--Charlotte is full of golf-loving folks! While some neighborhoods are situated on the golf courses, others are positioned between 2 or more and have access to more than one course. Here are, but a few, of our popular courses. The 18-hole "Piper Glen" course at the TPC at Piper Glen facility in Charlotte, North Carolina features 6,883 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 73.2 and it has a slope rating of 130 on Zoysia grass. Designed by Arnold Palmer, the Piper Glen golf course opened in 1988. PGA Tour Properties manages this facility, with Ronnie Parker as the General Manager.

The course rating is 72.4 and it has a slope rating of 126 on Bermuda grass. Designed by Russell F. Breedon, the North golf course opened in 1971. Jim Troutman manages the course as the General Manager/director of Golf.
